What is joy? This wooden sculpture series emerges from that eternal search, each form capturing not the answer, but the yearning itself. With wings spread wide, these birds stand in three states of being: waiting before a window, trapped within a prison, and gathered in chaotic multitude upon a ladder—each position transforming life's obstacles into silent poetry. Through wood, they whisper an ancient truth: joy is not a destination, but a way of being that emerges through our authentic engagement with the search itself.
